Royalty — Meet Amy Grey
Hello, my name is Amy Grey, and I am the High Country Stampede Rodeo Queen. I would like to share with you a little about myself, my future goals, and some of the opportunities and experiences I’ve had during my reign as Rodeo Queen.
I am a 16 year old junior at West Grand High School where I have served as Class President and President of the Rodeo Team. Rodeo keeps me focused and motivated as well as allowing me to continually have fun. I danced for the Canepa School of Dance for six years; in this experience I learned discipline, grace, and poise. After High School I hope to attend Colorado State University where I plan to major in Veterinary Science.
My two main passions are 4-H and Rodeo. The Grand County 4-H program has been a huge part of my life for eight years now and I've learned so much. I have been competing in Rodeo since I was 5. Through my experiences I've learned that to be a team player and good leader, you must be strong, dependable, responsible, and above all listen to and care about the people you represent.
The Rodeo Princess, Anna Cunico, and I have had such a wonderful time serving as the Royalty of the High Country Stampede Rodeo. We've made appearances at some of the most prestigious events in the country and we've made many new acquaintances. We have been to the Kremmling Days Parade, Granby 4th of July Parade, Buffalo Days Parade and Barbeque, Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade and Rodeo, Laramie Jubilee Days Parade and Rodeo, Flying Heels Rodeo, Middle Park Fair and Rodeo, and the National Western Stock Show.
A big thank you to our sponsors Bill & Susie Waccholtz, Pat Brueger, and Northwest Ranch Supply.
We would like to express our gratitude to The Winter Park Horseman's Association, our parents Jeff and Terese Cunico, and Marke and Lynn Grey, and our coordinators Wendy Christiansen, Kelly Stefanik, and Janet Engel. Representing the High Country Stampede has been a great honor.
On behalf of Anna and myself, we would like to invite you to join us on our journey in the months to come.
